There are 4 steps for this plastic treatment:

Step 1: Material preparation: materials to be processed, such as plastic sheets, glass sheets, or resin products, need to be prepared accordingly

Step 2: Pre-treatment: The surface of the material is cleaned and treated to ensure that it is free from dirt and impurities. For example, using different sandpapers, starting from 320 grit to 400, 600, 800, and 1000 grit, grinding the product from coarse to medium to fine, achieving a bright finish.

Step 3: Translucent processing: Depending on the specific method of translucent processing, chemical agents or heat treatment can be utilized to render the material transparent or translucent. Chemical processing often involves immersing the material in specific chemical solutions to modify its molecular structure and improve its transparency. Thermal processing involves subjecting the material to heat treatment to alter its molecular structure and achieve transparency.

Step 4: Post-treatment: Upon completion of translucent processing, the material typically undergoes post-treatment, such as cleaning, trimming, or other necessary steps, to ensure that the final product meets the required specifications.

How long does vapor smoothing take?

Vapor smoothing can take anywhere from several hours to several days, depending on the size and structure, and the desired level of transparency. After a three-day surface treatment process, we achieved a perfect PC lamp cover, including translucent processing, vacuum plating, and laser etching.
